FYJC Online Admission 2016 Procedure

-Applicants whose names appear in the merit list of a particular junior college should fill up the
admission form of that junior college, attach all the relevant documents in original with photocopies,
and must secure a provisional admission in that junior college within the stipulated time on
payment of Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty only), failing which they will have no claim for admission in that
junior college and their names will be dropped from the process of online admissions.
-Upon Securing admission in the allotted Junior College, the applicant shall receive system
generated 'Admission Confirmation Letter' from the respective Junior College immediately
or within one working day from the date of admission.
-A candidate offered betterment in a subsequent merit list may accept the same. However, such
candidate must first cancel the admission from the previous junior college and approach the new
junior college for completing all the admission formalities. Please note that candidate's admission
to the new junior college is subject to the verification of all the documents by the
admitting authority of the new junior college. Any document/claim found to be not valid
at this stage will result in denial of admission in that junior college.
-Upon cancellation of admission from a Junior college, the applicant shall 'immediately' receive
a system generated 'Admission Cancellation Letter' from the respective Junior College

Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission

Applicants are required to submit the following documents (as applicable) at the time of
admission.
-Original Marks List of std. X or equivalent examination
-Original School Leaving Certificate.
-Original Hall Ticket (for CBSE students only)
-Original Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority appointed by the State of Maharashtra
(if applicable). Please note that the quota against constitutional reservations is available only to
the applicants originated & domiciled in State of Maharashtra. It is not available for applicants
originating from outside the State of Maharashtra.
-Sports, Art & Culture (if applicable).
For Art & culture : Applicants should possess any one of the following certificates.
a) Certificate showing passing of the examination in Music/Dance conducted by Akhil Bharatiya
Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Or,
b) Certificate awarded for winning the prize for Acting in the Bal Natya Competition conducted
by the Directorate of Art & Culture.
List of eligible students is declared by the office of the Director of Art and Culture
Maharashtra State, old Secretariet (Annex), first floor, Madam Cama road, Mumbai.
These students should obtain necessary certificate from the concerned District Education
Inspector / Education Officer or an officer authorised by them (Certificate Proforma is on
page 15)

circular No. Admi-2014/case no. 81/sd-2, Date 23/05/2014).
For Sports: Applicants should possess any one of the following certificates obtained while
studying in standards VIII, IX, or X.
As per government resolution dt. 26th june 1997
a) Certificate showing that the student has secured first or Second position at the District/
State/National level.
b) Certificate showing that the student has won Medal at the zonal level or the certificate
showing that the student has participated in the State/National level competitions organized
by the Indian Schools Games Association or Indian Games Authority.
c) Certificate showing that the student has won Medal at the State level or the student has
participated in the State/National level competitions organized by the Indian Olympic
Association or Maharashtra Olympic Association.
These certificates should be authenticated by the District Sports Officer or Regional
Deputy Director (sports) in the prescribed form given in this booklet.
[For b), c) above, refer to G.R. No. HSC/1707/ (222/07)/HSE-1 dated 26th June 2008
and 25th March 2010].
-Wards of the Employees of State Government/Central Government/Private Sector coming on
transfer in the MMR (if applicable) Original Certificate showing transfer of the employee from
outside MMR to MMR on or after 1st October 2014. Further, the ward must have passed std.
X or equivalent examination from a school outside MMR.

-Wards of Servicemen and Ex-Servicemen (if applicable):
For Servicemen: Service Certificate.
For Ex-Servicemen: Discharge Certificate or, Certificate issued by District Sainik Board.

-Wards of Freedom Fighters (if applicable): Applicants who are dependent on the freedom
fighters and are so nominated by the freedom fighters, must submit a certificate issued by the
District Collector to that effect.

-Physically handicapped (if applicable): Certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon or the Dean of any
Government/Municipal hospital, showing at least 40% disability. Students with learning disability
must produce a certificate issued by the competent authority

-The online admission process for FYJC classes is applicable to all the recognized junior colleges
in MMR, and their participation in this process is compulsory.
-Students, who have passed SSC or equivalent examination from any recognized board, seeking
admissions to FYJC classes in any of the junior colleges in MMR, must participate in the online
admission process.
-Admissions to Arts, Science, and Commerce streams shall be done online. However, following
admissions shall not be done online, but they shall done by the respective juniour
college.
a) Admissions to HSC Vocational (MCVC), Home Science,
b) Admissons to Management quota, Minority quota, & In-house quota.
c) Admissions to Technical Junior Colleges.
d) Admissions to Night Junior Colleges.

-Online admissions shall be done as per the rules under the constitutional and special reservation
policy in force.
-Seats in junior colleges are allocated as per the merit and order of preferences of the applicants;
however, choice of optional subjects/optional languages / bifocal subjects in a junior college is
subject to availability of seats for that optional subject/optional language / bifocal subjects in that
junior college.
-Processing fee of Rs. 150/ (Rs. One Hundred and Fifty only) - including cost of this booklet
- shall be collected from the student participating in the online admission process. Any student,
who fails at the std. X examination of March 2015, is entitled for a refund of Rs. 125/ - after
deducting Rs.25 towards the cost of this booklet - from the Head of the concerned school.

Features of the Online Admission Process 2016

  • A single application is required for applying online to any one but not more than two streams out of Arts, Science and Commerce.
  • All the data with the Maharashtra State SSC Board Mumbai Division for March 2016 examination will be shared for online admission process. The SSC students appearing in March 2016 can thus get their details upon entering their seat numbers.
  • All the applications received, shall be considered for online admission process according to the merit and the order of preferences given by the applicants.
  • An incomplete application shall be rejected. Applicants are therefore advised to check the online status of their application.
